I've just ordered this after a long time of searching. I saw SK with the wonderful Wendy James at the Victoria Hall in Stoke. They were supporting Then Jerico on the Big Area tour. I was stunned....they were totally awesome. I went out and got the album (on tape in those days) the day after. My girlfriend at the time must have been sick of it. I'm sure I played it over and over all the way from Macclesfield to Poole. It was unlike anything I had heard before, the sound didn't fit in to any box compared with the other stuff I was in to (Love and Money, Big Dish, The Silencers & Goodbye Mr MacKenzie). Wendy's voice was almost hypnotic (a little Kate Bush at times). Brilliant shining is probably the track that people who were in to obscure bands may know. For me Cowboy Joe is the standout. Have a look on you tube. I just need to find 'Voice of Reason' by the Fountainhead now...when I do my 80's tape to CD collection will be complete.
