I like the sizing of these pants - they fit me. They are very lightweight and pack very small. My main complaint is that they stain very easily. I have found that before washing, I'd better treat any stains with Dove else they will persist. This is the opposite to the REI Sahara pants which seem to repel any possible stain. Other issues: I think at least one more belt loop, possibly two wouldn't be out of line. My other downer: the pockets are mesh.These are easily the best convertible pants on the market today. I line that they zip off to an 8" short rather than the usual 11" nonsense that sits below your knees. I have a pair of these for work and I do maintenance so they've been exposed to everything from drywall mud to tile adhesive and grout. Grout is notorious for being impossible to remove from clothes but it doesn't stick to these. They also fit like a they were actually made for a normal human being, not a 6'2" 160lb model body. And they stretch. Lastly, over time the fit gets better as you wear em. Other clothes I've worn only fit just after they've been washed and only for a day but these get better and better with time. I hope they offer more colors in the future. Great pants/shorts.These are working out great for travel by motorcycle. They fit well, have a little give in the waist and look great. Haven't removed the lower legs yet. They clean up well and dry quickly. The pockets are mesh, but there is no mesh in the seat area like swimming trunks. The length seems to be true as well.My 5th-Year wearing these pants, I fish them so hard over the course of a Kayak Fishing season, I usually replace them after a year or two. Fit is loose which is great. Length is great, you can zip off the legs if needed.They repel water and blood while fishing and seemed to be skeeter proof from all the bugs you encounter on the water.The are very cool while sitting down in a kayak fishing, while in direct sunlight.Purchase for wet wading fishing dry fast doing as advertisedSuper comfortable zip of legs for shorts!
