This is one of those obscure, forgotten gems that deserves another look. I had never heard of it until it came up as a recommendation on Amazon. After watching trailers online, and reading details about its mix of softcore and horror, I decided to go for it.The image and sound are incredible—the blu ray makes it look like it was filmed yesterday. Colors, clarity and brightness are perfect. Sound is vivid and clean; unlike those awful Anchor Bay discs, you can actually hear what the actors are saying without maxing out your TV's volume.The film's greatest strength is probably its unpredictability and sexiness. I truly never knew where this was going, as it avoided clichés from start to finish. The result is a fresh and original story for adults comfortable with the facts of life. A marvelous, Gothic setting enhances the proceedings and gives this tale of Old Scratch a classiness that goes well with the erotic happenings.Highly recommended for fans of Euro Gothic and Euro Sleaze cinema.
